ABOUT MAREN WESTGARD

Maren Westgard is an actor and choreographer based in New York City. She studied Dance at Wesleyan University, where she participated extensively in the student film and theater scene. After graduating, Maren moved to NYC to study at the Stella Adler Conservatory. Whilst training, she has appeared in contemporary and Shakespeare theatrical productions, some of which have featured her choreography. Additionally, she has studied at T. Schreiber and the Barrow Group. Her physical theater work has also been showcased in Phys Fest NYC. 

 

Maren views performance as a deeply physical and emotional act, using movement to unlock character, storytelling, and connection. She brings depth, specificity, and raw physicality to every role she takes on. In addition to acting, Maren is passionate about movement as a way to find connection with the self. She is a certified yoga teacher and teaches in Brooklyn.
